The reason the government gave us that are on Social Security and not getting COLA COST OF LIVING ALLOWANCE for the next 2 years was that there would be no increase in groceries and etc and thereby we didn't need a COLA.
So here I am, watching my local news, and they are announcing their upcoming show on why our groceries will be costing us more next year. I ask you, " WHERE DID THE GOVERNMENT GET THEIR NUMBERS THAT GAVE THEM THE RIGHT TO NOT GIVE US OUR COLA? Our county now has a bill that will increase the tax on goods by 1 cent. Our tags and services actually doubled in the last few months. Why is the GOVERNMENT lying to us? Please citizens who are relying on their Social Security Checks to survive on, WRITE, CALL OR E-MAIL YOUR OFFICIALS THAT ARE MAKING THESE reDICKulus LAWS!!! We people surviving on a small SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK EACH MONTH, need to eat, buy gas, pay insurance and etc just as well as anyone else.
